Saurin's dryers
Local manufacturer Saurin has developed a range of pilot spray dryers for testing and
product development.
The SL series spray dryers are suitable for the food industry and can handle small volumes
of product. Spray Dryer model SL 10 can produce powder from a sample volume as low as 50 mL.
Designed and built in Australia, the SL Series is of hygienic design, maintenance is simple
and all parts are easily accessible. Spray dryers are supplied as complete units with spray
nozzles.
The heart of the unit is a specially designed control system with the assistance of a leading
university. A control panel allows monitoring and control of Drying parameters. The LCD screen
displays the operating conditions and logs the information to a computer.
Standard material of construction is SS 316, but units can be constructed in other materials
depending on customer requirements. The smallest model is SL 10 that can evaporate 1 kg/hr
equivalent water. SL 20 is rated at 3 Kg/hr evaporation.
These ratings relate to 200C inlet, 80C outlet temperature. The units come complete and only
need a compressed air connection and power connection.
