Venturi Mixing System
Saurin manufactures a range of mixing systems for powders and liquids used in the dairy, food, chemicals
and minerals industries.
Venturi mixers are suitable for mixing powders into liquid for a reduced investment. These are built
in stainless steel and can be dismantled for cleaning. The mixers have no moving parts and work on the
Bernoulli's principle.
The liquid pumping energy creates a vacuum in the venturi which sucks in the powder and mixes it in the
diffuser.
The smallest mixer in the range is VM 10 and is capable of 500 kg/h of powder mixing. The larger mixers
can mix up to 3600 kg of powder an hour.
The mixer can be supplied as a basic venturi to enable users to integrate them in their system.
The standard mixer is supplied as a venturi mixer with powder hopper. Saurin also offers advice on building
a complete system. As options, the user can choose inline shear pump, SS316 construction, pharmaceutical
compliance, powder hopper, turnkey installation, control system and automatic valves.
